Burna Boy's "Another Story" music video causes ripples as Nigera celebrates it's 59th year of independence.

Relased in time for Independence Day, Burna Boy's video narrates the story of Nigeria's supposed liberation from its British colonizers while also depicting the current unfavorable conditions in the country. The video also featured Ghanaian artist M.anifest.

The controversial opening lines are as follows: "In 1900, Britain officially assumed responsibility for the administration of the whole of what we now know as Nigeria from the Niger company. And then gradually over the years, British protectorates were established throughout the territory. In 1914, the protectorates were amalgamated into one Nigeria."

Also depicted, are Nigerians going about their lives wearing black blindfolds with the words"tribalism," "colonialism," "poverty,"  "violence" and "greed" written in largem white lettering.  

The words on the blindfolds can be assumed to be in reference to the actions of Nigeria's political leaders; past and present. 

He goes on to say: "They want make we all enter one corner, shebi o / 'Cause e be lie them dey tell me since I was a baby o / All the times them go promise and fail o," Burna Boy sings.
