Boko Haram: Photos of Tanks and Armored Vehicles Captured From Nigerian Army
Militants of slamic State-sponsored group of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), once referred to as Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid Da'wah wa'l-Jihād, have shown various models of armored tanks and operational hilux vehicles captured from the Nigerian army.
As per ISWAP in an explanation located by Sahara Reporters, the vehicles were caught on Sunday when the militants assaulted a Nigerian Army area at 156 Battalion around Borno state.
Several soldiers were killed as the gunmen attacked the military camp and set it on fire.
The militants then released photographs of two brand new Isotrex Legion MRAP captured from the convoy delivering them to the Nigerian Army Base at Mainok.
Boko Haram and its offshoot, Islamic State West Africa Province, have killed thousands and displaced millions in Northeastern Nigeria.
33 soldiers were also recently executed when two bomb laden vehicles smashed into a military convoy in Wulgo.
The suicide bombers were identified as Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Bana Jundullah.
In February, around 20 troopers were likewise murdered in Malari, Borno State by the militants.
