Live naira prices for the metals Nigerians search for most — from the world spot price and the live dollar-to-naira rate. Last refresh 11 Oct 2026.
Prices are the international spot value at a live dollar rate of about ₦1,331.00/$1. Local dealers quote a premium above spot.
Gold, silver, platinum and palladium all trade on the world market in US dollars per troy ounce (about 31.1 grams). We take the live dollar price and multiply by the live dollar-to-naira rate to get the naira value — then divide by 31.1 for a per-gram figure. When either the global price or the exchange rate moves, the naira price moves with it.
Spot vs local price. These are international spot values. A Nigerian dealer or jeweller adds a premium for craftsmanship, refining and margin, so what you pay or receive locally differs from the spot figure. Use these as the fair baseline.
